About Walter D. White, A Professional Law Corporation
I am attorney Walter D. White. Some people call me by my middle name, Doug. I have practiced law in Shreveport since 1981 and am still pleased to call it home today. I believe in the power of faith and the family and use them as my guideposts every day.
My practice, Walter D. White, A Professional Law Corporation, is focused exclusively on protecting the needs of the common man — that is, hardworking, local families likes yours — through estate planning and elder law.
Estate Planning For The Common Man
With nearly 40 years of experience practicing law, I have come to understand that you don’t need to be wealthy or own multiple houses to take advantage of estate planning with a lawyer. Instead, estate planning is for anyone who wants to protect the financial and emotional needs of their family.
It is my goal to offer resources for the future that provide your family with the care, compassion and peace of mind you deserve. Whether your needs are simple and straightforward or require meticulous attention, I am ready to meet with you, address your concerns and tailor a plan that is unique to your family.

Strength In The Family Comes From Care For The Community
I believe that the strength of the family comes from its foundations in faith and the community. I am proud of my 40-year commitment to serving families in Shreveport. Today I serve as a deacon at my church, sing in a barbershop quartet and present seminars on succession and estate planning in partnership with New York Life Insurance. I also earned my commission as an officer in the Army, deployed during the First Gulf War, and retired from the Louisiana National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1999 after 25 years of service.
My commitment to my faith, my family and my community has helped me earn the trust of many local families, and I will work hard to earn your trust too.
